These warranties are your exclusive warranties and replace all other warranties or conditions, express or implied, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties or conditions of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Some states or jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of express or implied warranties, so the above exclusion may not be enforced. In that event, such warranties are limited in duration to the warranty period. No warranties are applicable after the particular period. Some states or jurisdictions do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not be applied.

How to Obtain Warranty Service
- Any software programs, whether pre-loaded or shipped with the equipment or installed subsequently
- Failure resulting due to misuse, accident, modification, unsuitable physical or operating environment or improper maintenance.
- Failure caused by a product for which MEC is not responsible.
- Any non-MEC products, including those that MEC may procure and provide with or integrate into a MEC equipment by your request.
- The warranty stands void if there is any removal or alteration of identification labels on the equipment or its parts.
- MEC does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation of equipments.
- Any support provided for any equipment under warranty, such as assistance with "how-to" questions and those regarding equipment set-up and installation, is provided without warranties of any kind.
Warranty service may be provided by MEC only if the equipment is purchased directly from MEC or its authorized dealers. They shall be referred as "Equipment supplier". At the time of applying for service, a proof of purchase should be provided in evidence of your entitlement to obtain warranty service.MEC'S Services
When our client contacts MEC for service, the client must follow the problem determination and resolution procedures that we specify. An initial diagnosis of the problem can be made either by a technician over the telephone or through a nearest authorized supplier. If the problem can be resolved with a Customer Replaceable Unit (CRU), preferred Equipment supplier will ship the CRU for installation. If the Equipment does not function as warranted during the warranty period and the problem cannot be resolved over the telephone or with a CRU, Equipment supplier, will either, at its discretion, repair it or replace it with one that is functionally equivalent. If equipment supplier is unable to do either, client may return the equipment to the place of purchase and the money will be refunded.
As part of the warranty service, the equipment supplier may also install selected engineering changes that apply to the equipment.Exchange of Equipment or its part
When the warranty service involves the exchange of equipment or it's part, the item which is replaced by equipment supplier becomes MEC's property and the replacement will be given to the client. Client represents that all removed items are genuine and unaltered. The replacement may not be new, but will be in good working order and functionally equivalent to the item replaced. The replacement bears the warranty service status of the replaced item.Limitation of LiabilityMEC is responsible for loss or damage to the equipment only if,
Equipment is in supplier's possession and in those cases where MEC is responsible for the transportation charges.
Neither MEC nor its dealers are responsible for any of your confidential, proprietary or personal information contained in a equipment which you return for any reason. You should remove all such information from the equipment prior to its return. Circumstances may arise where, because of a default on MEC's part or other liability, you are entitled to recover damages from MEC. In each such instance, regardless of the basis on which you are entitled to claim damages from MEC (including fundamental breach, negligence, misrepresentation, or other contract or tort claim), except for any liability that cannot be waived or limited by applicable laws, MEC is liable for not more than one damage for bodily injury (including death) and damage to real property and tangible personal property for which MEC is legally liable and the amount of any other actual direct damages, up to the charges for the Equipment that is subject of the claim. This limit also applies to MEC's suppliers, resellers and your Equipment supplier. It is the maximum for which MEC, its suppliers, resellers, and your Equipment supplier are collectively responsible.
">UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES IS MEC, ITS SUPPLIERS, RESELLERS OR EQUIPMENT SUPPLIERS ARE LIABLE FOR ANY OF THE FOLLOWING EVEN IF INFORMED OF THEIR POSSIBILITY:
- THIRD PARTY CLAIMS AGAINST YOU FOR DAMAGES (OTHER THAN THOSE UNDER THE FIRST ITEM LISTED ABOVE).
- LOSS OR DAMAGE TO DATA.
- SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR INDIRECT DAMAGES OR FOR ANY ECONOMIC CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR LOST PROFITS, BUSINESS REVENUE, GOODWILL OR ANTICIPATED SAVINGS.
- SOME STATES OR JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
This section provides information regarding the warranty applicable to your Equipment, including the warranty period and type of warranty service MEC provides.Warranty Period
The warranty period may vary country to country and equipment to equipments and is specified in the table below. A warranty period of 3 years on parts and 1 year on labour means that MEC provides warranty service without charge for parts and labour during the first year of the warranty period; and parts only, on an exchange basis, during the second and third years of the warranty period. The Equipment supplier will charge for any labour provided in repairing or replacement(s) during in the second and third year of warranty period.Types of Warranty Service
If required, the equipment supplier will provide repair or exchange service depending on the type of warranty service specified for the equipment in the above table and as described below. Schedule of service will depend upon the time of your call and is subject to parts availability. Service levels are response subjective and are not guaranteed. The specific level of warranty service may not be available worldwide & additional charges may apply for services outside normal service area.On-site Service
Your equipment supplier will either repair or exchange the failing equipment at your location and verify its operation. You must provide suitable working area to allow disassembly and reassembly of the equipment. The area must be clean, well lit and suitable for the purpose. For certain equipments, certain repairs may require sending the equipment to a designated service center.
