Testing Facilities

MEC manages a world class R&D Lab recognized by the Dept. of Science and Industrial Research, Govt. of India (DSIR). The company is also working towards getting accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL). Some of the testing tools and equipment installed at the facility are as follows:

  • OsierFinland make"Spraywatch": Used in the online measurement of the temperature, velocity, and number of spray particle (count or flux). Also used in determining flame characteristics
  • FLIR Systems make Thermal Image Analyzer: Used for precise measurement of heat patterns, dissipation, leakage, etc., in equipment/products/processes
  • Carl ZeissUSA) Co-ordinate Measuring Machine: Used for gauging the physical geometrical characteristics of any desired object
  • Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEM): These microscopes have excellent magnification power and a very high resolution that helps in minute observation when it comes to analyzing the exact composition of thermal spray wires & powders, coating characteristics, base material properties, and more.
